Structure Fabric

AVALANCHE STRUCTURE FABRIC

Performance Beyond Expectations – Avalanche Structure Fabric designed with Snow Removal and Extreme Cold Weather in mind.  The non-stick lacquer finish is so slippery that when snow slides off the roof with ease it literally looks like an Avalanche.  Avalanche Structure Fabric is made from weft inserted high tenacity polyester thermally knife coated with Poly Vinyl Chloride (PVC).  Decades of engineering and field testing went into the manufacturing process to ensure Maximum Seam Strength, UV Longevity, Fire Safety and Cold Weather Performance.  Avalanche Structure Fabric is the First Choice for Structure Performance.

Highly Reinforced Trussed Arches - Pin Technology

V FORCE TRUSS
SYSTEM
When designing the trusses of our Arch Span Buildings the engineering firm uses close attention to detail to ensure we have a superior product. With the combination of high tension galvanized steel, continuous webbing sections, vertical reinforcing pins and heavy duty joiner plates along with strict CWB welding procedures, our arches are an industry leader.

Our New V FORCE TRUSS SYSTEM is our strongest and most advanced frame system yet.  New for 2020 all engineered building models in sizes ranging from 22′ – 80′ wide will feature this advanced engineered system for maximum strength and maximum manufacturing efficiency, resulting in our Best Fabric Building System on the Market.  We focus and invest heavily on innovation in order to meet the demands of our loyal and growing customer base.

ARCH SPAN BUILDINGS developed pin technology and this method is used on all trussed. Vertical pipes also know as pins are fitted between the inner and outer chord of the truss and the saddle joint is entirely welded for maximum strength. Pins are used as breaks between the truss webbing so proper loads can be distributed in high stress areas.

X-Brace Purlins

We are the first and only fabric building manufacturer using X-Brace purlins to connect our arches. All other companies use a single pipe purlin which only supports the bottom inside of the truss. With wind and snow loads this can allow the truss to twist. Our X-Brace purlin distributes snow load weight and wind pressure evenly to the entire truss resulting in maximum stability.

In House Testing

Each Arch Span Building project is tested and inspected as per CSA A660 and CWB (Canadian Welding Bureau) requirements. We have an in house fabric testing lab in which fabric break strength, seam break strength and seam peel strength is tested for each and every building project. We also do burn tests to verify the fabric is flame retardant as per manufacturer’s specs.

In our steel fabrication shop we employee a full time CWB Certified Welding Supervisor and Inspector to oversee the operation and ensure the welding procedures are followed, tested and inspected. We have quarterly audits by an external Welding Engineering firm to ensure our welds are in conformance with CSA Standards and we have quarterly audits by the CWB (Canadian Welding Bureau) to ensure all welding procedures are properly implemented.

Engineering & Certifications

CSA Certified – CWB Certified – ISO Certified – NBCSA Certified

Tarp-Rite Inc. is a leading manufacturer and installer of tension fabric buildings, has achieved recognition through the Canadian Standards Association (CSA) A660-10 certification program for steel building systems.

The CSA-A660-10 standard requires that steel structure manufacturers comply with the applicable engineering criteria and building codes. It was also developed to assist code enforcement officials in reviewing submissions for building permits incorporating a steel building system, and to help purchasers obtain a quality building. To be certified, building manufacturers must maintain production facilities, staff and quality assurance systems that are consistently capable of producing quality steel buildings. To ensure these design and production standards are met, the CSA-A660-10 standard requires a manufacturing facility to obtain documented approval from a licensed professional engineer. Tarp-Rite Inc. have also obtained the S367-09 standard which has to do with assembly of the fabric itself. Several tests and record keeping of the seam strength and material strength are required for this standard to assure customers of a safe, quality product.

The Canadian Welding Bureau (CWB) has certified TARP-RITE’S manufacturing facility to CSA Standard W47.1 “Certification of Companies for Fusion Welding of Steel” in Division 2. Division 2 requires that TARP·RITE INC retain the services of a qualified Welding Engineer a Certified Welding Supervisor is on staff to control TARP·RITE’S welding operations. CWB qualifies Welding Supervisors based on related experience, and examinations on welding symbols, weld faults, quality control and inspection methods. The welding operation is subject to third-party audits by CWB to assure continued commitment and performance to required standards.

ISO 9001:2015 sets out the criteria for a quality management system and is the only standard in the family that can be certified to. This standard is based on a number of quality management principles including a strong customer focus, the motivation and implication of top management, the process approach and continual improvement. Using ISO 9001:2008 helps ensure that customers get consistent, good quality products and services.

The New Brunswick Construction Safety Association (NBCSA) are committed to helping employers and workers reduce losses caused by workplace injuries through the “Certificate of Recognition” (COR) program for the New Brunswick construction industry. The COR, along with a Letter of Good Standing is also used as a pre-qualification requirement for Contractors tendering work for many buyers of construction. The Certificate of Recognition program is available to all Members and Associate Members of the NBCSA from small to large companies and is administered by the New Brunswick Construction Safety Association.
